Ephesians 2:1-3

You also were once dead in your trespasses and sins. You led your life in those sins, following the ways of this present world and the ruler who governs the air, the spirit who is now working in the people who disobey. All of us once lived among them in our fleshly lusts, doing what our flesh and mind wanted to do. By nature we deserved God’s anger just like all the others. (GWN)

And you were dead in the trespasses and sins in which you once walked, following the course of this world, following the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that is now at work in the sons of disobedience--among whom we all once lived in the passions of our flesh, carrying out the desires of the body and the mind, and were by nature children of wrath, like the rest of mankind. (ESV)

And you He made alive, who were dead in trespasses and sins, in which you once walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit who now works in the sons of disobedience, among whom also we all once conducted ourselves in the lusts of our flesh, fulfilling the desires of the flesh and of the mind, and were by nature children of wrath, just as the others. (NKJV)
