About Christ Lutheran

We are a growing church family in northeast Sioux Falls.

Our purpose is faithfully to receive the treasures of God's holy Word and Sacraments, and to proclaim the Good News of salvation in Jesus Christ.

At Christ Lutheran Church you will discover a family of believers that is:

Christ-Centered

Our name says it all! In a hectic and fast-changing world, our life together flows from Jesus Christ, Who is "the same, yesterday, today and forever" (Hebrews 13:8). In Him and through Him alone do we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins (Colossians 1:14).

Liturgical

We believe that the Lord Jesus Himself is present whenever we are gathered for worship in His Name (Matthew 18:20). In the Divine Service, the Risen Christ comes among us to serve us with the treasures of life and forgiveness. Our way of worship draws attention to this unseen reality as we draw from the very best of the church's liturgy and song. We treat our worshipers not as consumers who need to be entertained, but as sin-sick people who need the healing that Jesus alone provides.

Sacramental

We believe that the Holy Spirit does His work of creating and sustaining faith through the means of grace -- that is, through the Word of God and the sacraments of Holy Baptism and Holy Communion. Through these humble means, God gives us His forgiveness, life, and salvation.
